RESOLUTION RkPASTINO ALLOCA21CJN OF COUNTY GAS SAE
NOW BOR THE IER'ROYAKINT Or BALBOA BOULEVARD
WHXRW* the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange, California has
appropriated in its budget for the feral year 1950 -51 the sum of $110.320.00
from its gas tat comes as financial aid to all the cities of said Orange
County for the improvement of atsaste of benefit generally to the people of
said County of Orange; aad
WMWAS. the City, of Newport Beach is entitled to the sum of $9,81$.00
under the provisions of said resolution; and
WHYS. Balboa Boulevard (formerly Central Avenue) in the City of
Newport Beach is classed as a major city street by the State Department of
Public Works and carries a large volume of traffic from Newoort Beach to
Balboa; and
WHER.W. the center portion of Balboa Boulevard is unimproved, and the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach desires to use the funds allocated
by said County to said City under the provisions of said resolution for the
Improvement of said Balboa Boulevard.
NOW, TMWORS, BB IT RRSOLVID by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach that it request, and it does hereby request, the County of
Orange to allocate the entire amount of said City's share of said County
Gas Tax monies for the improvement of said Balboa Boulevard. between 6th
Street and 9th Street, as follows:
Concrete curbs along a center dividing strip and three (3) inch plant
mix pavement between said curbs and the existing concrete pavement.
The foregoing Resolution Resolution is approved and signed by me this -Yo d, day
