RESOLUTION No. 3 840
RESOLtiTI0N AUTHORIZING INVESTIGATION AND VALUATION
OF EMPLOYEES' RWTIRFY1LNT SYSTEM
WHEREAS, tho .Employees of the City of Newport Beach
and the City of Newport S*Aoh are members of the State Employees*
Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, under the provisions of section 20127 of the
State Rmployees' Retiressnt.Lsw requires that an aetuary inves-
tigate and evaluate the system ea participated in by the City and
Its employees; and
WHEREAS# there has been presented to the City of Newpo,
Beat a contract between the firm of Coates, Herfurth and Engian
Consulting Actuaries, aced the City of Newport Beach to make s=h
investigation and evaluation at a cost of Two Hundred Twelve
Dollars and 25AOO ($212.25) and it appearing for the best in-
terests of the Citizens of the City of Newport Beach that said
Contraot be entered into;
NOW, TiEREFORE$ BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Newport
Beach agree with the firm of Coates, Herfurth and England, Con-
sulting Actuaries, to have these do the work called for in said
Section 20127 of the State Employees' Retirement Law, at a cost
of $212:25; and
BE IT.TURTHTR RESOLYM, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby, auth-
orized and directed to execute said contract on behalf of the City
a copy of said contract being attached hereto and marked Exhibit
*AS.
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly and regular]
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Bea(
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 27th day of November ,
1950, by the following vote, to wit:
