RESOLUTION No. 39931
WHERSAB, in the past, the office of City Treasurer of
the City of Newport Beach has.bsen an elective office; and
WEEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems it to be for the best interests of the citizens of the City
of Newport Beach to enable the citizens of the City of Newport
Beach to determine whether. not the office of the City Treasur-
er of the City of Newport Beach should be elective or appointive.
NOW, THERMRE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant to the powers expressly
conferred upon it by sections 365099 36509 and 36510 of the Gov-
ernment Code of the State of California, hereby instructs and
authorizes the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach to place
upon the ballots at the Municipal Election of April 9, 19521 the
following question:
Shall the Office of the City Treasurer 'YES
be appointive? . . . . . . . . . . . . T'1T
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly passed and
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach held on the 14-th day of January, 1952, by the fol-
lowing vote, to wit:

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 3931 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said
City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the
14th day of January , 19 52, by the following
