SUFFEREM BY THE CI'T'Y
I'HEREAS, it appears to this Council that the City will
be required to pay to the J. stay Construction Co., Inc. the sum
of S6,99'.00 more than ther:City would have had to have paid Irvin
Geo. Gordon & Son if the latter had gone through With his
for the addition to and renovation of the Newport Beach Public
Library; and
WHEREAS, it would appear to be for the best interests
of the citizens of the City of Npvport Reach that the City attemp'
to recover the sum of 562892.00;
NOWo TH YFOFtE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the CityAttorney
of the City of Newport Reach be, and he is hereby, authorised and
directed to take all legal steps necessary for the recovery of
said sum of money from Irvin Geo. Gordon & Son.
The above and foregoing Resolution was duly and regular:
passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the L day of
1952 by the following vote, to wit:
