3 cHERKAB, it has become necessary to designate the pre..
4 per officers of the City of Newport Beach to sign checks, drafts,
5 or other orders for the payment of money drawn in the City's
8 name; and
7 WHEREAS, it is deemed to be for the best interests or
8 the citizens of the City of Newport Reach that the Mayor and City
9 Clerk be authorized to sign such documents by facsimile eigAa-
10 tures;
11 NOW$ TNERWORS, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Bank of
12 America National Trust and Savings Associationp as a designated
13 depeal". of this City be, and it (including its correspondent
14 barks) is hereby requested, authorized and dirseted to honor all
15 shooksy drafts, or other orders for the payment of money drawn in
18 the name of the City on its commercial acoounts (including those
17 drawn to the individual order of any person or persons whose
18 names appear thereon as signer or signers thereof) when bearing
19 or purporting to bear two facsimile signatures of the Mayor and
20 City Clerk as follows: A. w. Smith Mayor
21 0. it Priest City Clerk
22 and the Bank of America National Trust and Savings Association
23 (including its correspondent banks) shall be entitled to honor
24 and to charge for all such checks, drafts or other orders for
25 the payment of money, regardless of by whom or by what means
26 the actual or purported facsimile signature or signatures there -
27 on may have been affixed thereto, if such facsimile signature or
28 signatures resemble the facsimile specimen from time to time
29 filed with the Bank of America National Trust and Savings Asso-
30 elation by the City Clerk; and
31 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That all previous authorize -
32 tions for the signing and honoring of cheoks, drafts or other

orders for the payment of money drawn on the said Sank of Americas
National Trust and Savings Aaaociation by this City are hereby
terminated and cancelled.
We, A. W. :smith, Mayor, and C. K. Priest, City Cleric,
of the City of Newport Heath, a municipal corporation of the 6th
Class, organised and existing under the Laws of the state of
California, do hereby certify thast at a regular misting of the
City Council of said City, duly held on the 23th dray of April,
1952, at which the entire Council was present and voting through-
out, the above Resolution was adopted and is now in full force
and effeot, and was adopted by the following vote, to wit,

of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No 3967 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said
City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the
