5 WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City
6 Council of the City of Newport Beach that there is now pending,
7 before the 1953 Legislature of the Mate of California, a car-
8 taia Sill, being Assenbl,yr 8111 Da. 873; and
9 I WX&R 8, it also appears to the City Council of the
10 City of Newport Beach that the enactment into law of said hill
11 would adversely affect fishing, both aom! +:ereial an-071 sport, In
12 Southern California waters;

14 of the City of Newport Beach hereby goes on record as opposing
15 enactment Into law of %+7sarmbly fill Ilo. 873.
16 BE IT FURTHER PMULVED; That a certified copy of this
17 Resolution be sent to the Honorable %;r3 W. Stanley, Assemblyman
18 from the 74th Asseably District, rep resenting the District in
19 which lies the City of Newport Beach.
20 The above and foregoing `resolution wAs duly and regul-
21 arly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of New- -
