»1M; , the Stage of California has filed a condemna-

tion action on a portion of the Cor;,oration Yard to be taken for

highway purposes in connection with the contemplated freeway; and

iii PX-W' the said State of Calirornia had offered to

pay the City of Newport Beach the rum of $6,000.00 for said tak-
9
1 ng; and

WHEREAS, after an 'appraisal of the property by anpraia-
11
era hired by the City and by appraisers hired by the State, the
12
State of California has offered the City of Ne -nort Beach the
13
sins of. $9,300.00 for said Wring; and
14
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the beat Interests of
15
the citizens of the City of Newport Beach that said offer of
16
99000.00 be accepted; and
17
'.vHEREAS, there hsA been submitted to the City of New -
18
pert Beach an .Agreement wherein and whereby the State of t%alif-
19
ornia agrees to pay to the City of Newport Beach the sum of
20
X9,300.00 in return for a steed to said property;
21
NOV', THEREFORE, BE IT RP;SOL= that the execution of
22
said Agreement be approved and the Mayor and City Clem. be, and
23
they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Agree -
24
ment in behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and, to send an
25
executed copy thereof to the State of California.

The above anA foregoing 'Pesolution was duly and regul-

arly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of New-

port Beach, at a regular meeting thereof,held on the 12,-e day of
