HomeMy WebLinkAbout4115 - Fees for Garbage & Trash Collection1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION No. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5212.1 of the Munioipal Code; the City Council is empowered to adopt a resolution setting forth the schedule of fees for garbage and trash collection; and WHEREAS, it is doomed necessary and expedient to adopt a schedule of fees for such garbage and trash collection; NOT,% THMIEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the following shall constitute, until amended or changed by a further resolu- tion of this council, the schedule of charges for garbage and trash collection within the City of Newport Beach: RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE AND TRASH SERVIGEt There shall be three garbage and two trash collections The minimum charge shall be $1.00 per month, which shall *over thi pick up of one garbage container, not to exceed it gallons of cap - aeity, and 16 cubic feet of trash on any regular collection day. For each additional 8 gallons of garbage, or fraction thereof, there shall be an additional charge of 356 per month. for each additional 8 cubic feet of trash, or fraction thereof, there sh be an additional charge of 350 Per month. BUSINESS bARDWE SER'VICEt There shall be seven collections of business garbage per The minI um charge shall be $2.00 per month, which shall provide for the pick up of one garbage containers not to exceed 9 gallons capacity, on any regular collection Bart. For each additional 8 gallons of garbage, or fraction thereof, there shall be an addl- tional charge of 61.00 per month. MI MS TRASH SERVICE. There shall be seven collections of business trash per week. This flat rates sat out above, shall apply 4 only on pick ups up to 56 cubic feet of trash on any one collec- 5 tion day. All monthly charges bnaecl on pica: up in excess of 56 6 cubic feet of trash or garbas;e, will be based on actual coot, 7 as such cost may be determined by th-e street Superintendent.
