RESOLUTION NO. 4207
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City of Newport Beach
a Consent to Sublease dated February 8, 1954, wherein and whereby the City
of Newport Beach consents to the execution of a sublease by the Newport
Bay Company to the Lamar Life Insurance Company. wherein and whereby the
Newport Bay Company subleases a portion of the premises leased from the
City of Newport Beach under Lease dated March 24,, 1948; and
WHEREAS. said Consent to Sublease contains, as Exhibit A, the
proposed Lease Agreement in which the said Newport Bay Company subleases
a portion of its premises to said Lamar Life Insurance Company; and
WHEREAS. said Exhibit A. the Lease Agreement. has in turn, an
Exhibit A which constitutes a plat of the property to be subleased by the
Newport Bay Company to the Lamar Life Insurance Company, and also has
Exhibit B to said Exhibit A. which Exhibit B is the proposed form of Agree-
ment of Sublease between the said Lamar Life Insurance Company and the
Newport Bay Company, wherein and whereby the Lamar Life Insurance Company
agrees to sublease back to the Newport Bay Company the portion of the de-
mised premises which is to be subleased by the Newport Bay Company to the
Lamar Life Insurance Company after the Lamer Life Insurance Company has
constructed certain residential units thereon; and
WHEREAS, by consenting to the Sublease by the Newport Bay Company
to the Lamar Life Insurance Company the City of Newport Beach is also consent-
ing to the Agreement of Lease wherein and whereby the Lamar Life Insurance
Company subleases the said premises back to the Newport Bay Company: and
WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of the citizens
of the City of Newport Beach that the City of Newport Beach execute said
Consent to Sublease dated February 8. 1954;
NOW, THE6EFOBE, BE IT RE MEM, that the !Mayor and City Clerk of
the City of Newport Beach be, and they aa$ hereby, authorised and directed
to execute said Consent to Sublease dated February 8, 1954. and to transmit
five 4.keouted copies thereof to the Newport Bay Company.
