1 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
• 2 the City of Newport Beach by Health Service, Incorporated, a
3 stock company incorporated-in Illinois, a proposed Group Accident
4 Supplemental Contract with limits of $300.00 to supplement the
5 hospitalization.contracts now or hereafter issued by Hospital
6 Service of California to the employees of the City of Newport
7 Beach; and
8 WHEREAS, there has also been presented to the City Council
9 of the City of Newport Beach by Health Service, Incorporated, a
10 Group Pol.iomyletis Supplemental Contract with limits of $5000.00
11 to-supplement the hospitalization contracts now or hereafter issue
12 by Hospital Service of Southern California to the employees of the
13 City of Newport Beach; and
14 WHEREAS, it appears to be for the best interests of the
15 citizens of the City of Newport Beach that said contracts be enterci
16 into.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
18 City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby,
19 authorized and directed to execute applications for the
20 hereinbefore mentioned contracts in behalf of the City of Newport
21 Beach.
22 The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly
23 passed and adopted by the City Council of the City.of Newport Beach
24 at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 12th day of July, 1954,
25 by the following vote, to wit:
26 AYES, COUNCILMEN: Broering, Smith, Miller, Bennett, H
27 NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: None
