RESOLUTION NO. 4440
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH5 CALIFORNIA ORDERING WORK TO BE
DONE UNDER THE DIRECTION bF THE CITY ENGINEER
INSTEAD OF THE SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS5 AND
DIRECTING THAT THE ASSESSMENT THEREAFTER BE MADE
AND SIGNED BY THE CITY ENGINEER INSTEAD OF THE
SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS, IN THE MATTER OF THE
CONSTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PAVING, SIDEWALKS5 CURBS5
GUTTERS5 SANITARY SEWERS, DRAINAGE STRUCTURES5
WATER SERVICE CONNECTIONS AND AN ORNAMENTAL
LIGHTING SYSTEM IN 31ST STREET AND OTHER STREETS
AND RIGHTS OF WAY.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH5 CALIFORNIA5
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the work contemplated under Resolution
of Intention No. 4421 for the construction of certain paving,
sidewalks, curbs, gutters, sanitary sewers, drainage structures,
water service connections and an ornamental lighting system in
31st Street and other streets and rights of way, be and the same
is hereby ordered to be done under the direction of the City
Engineer and the materials used shall comply with the specifica-
tions and be to the satisfaction of said City Engineer instead
of the Superintendent of Streets, and directing that the contrac
to be entered into for said improvement shall contain a provisio
to this effect.

SECTION 2. And further ordering and directing that the
assessment to be made in the said proceedings shall be made and
signed by the City Engineer instead of the Superintendent of
Streets.
APPROVED and ADOPTED this 13th day of Februarys 1956.
