RESOLUTION NO. 4449
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH, CALIFORNIA APPROVING A PROPOSED RESOLUTION OF
INTENTION SUBMITTh BY THE BOARD OF THE COSTA MESA
SANITARY DISTRICT, ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA: GRANT-
ING CONSENT TO THE WORK AND CONSNUCTION OF SANITARY
SEWERS AND APPURTENANCES IN STREETS AND RIGHTS OF WAY
IN SAID CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AND TO THE
LEVYING OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS IN PAYMENT THEREOF,
AND TO THE ASSUMPTION OF JURISDICTION FOR ALL PURPOSES
OF THE PROCEEDINGS BY SAID SANITARY BOARD.
WHEREAS, the Board of the Costa Mesa Sanitary District,
Orange County, California, has submitted to this Council a pro-
posed Resolution of Intention for the construction of sanitary
sewers and appurtenant work in Annexation No. 27 to said Sanitar
District, all in accordance with the plans and profiles and map
of the assessment district referred to in the Resolution of
Intention proposed to be adopted by said Board for said improve-
ment; and
WHEREAS, certain of the streets and rights of way upon whi

work is to be done are located within the incorporated limits of1the
City of Newport Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, certain property located within the incorporated
limits of said City of Newport Beach, California, is proposed to
be assessed to pay a portion of the costs of said work and improle-
went; and
WHEREAS, public interest, convenience and necessity require
the construction of said sewer and the same has been recommended
as a health measure by the Health Officer serving said Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the said proposed Resolution of Intention
is hereby approved and consent is hereby granted to the said
Sanitary District, to the making of the said construction and
improvements as above set forth, and to the assessing of prope
in payment of the costs thereof, as contemplated by said
Resolution of Intention, and to the assumption of full jurisdi
in the premises by the said Sanitary District, all as provided

for in Division 6 of the Health and Safety Code of the State
of California, and Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code
of the State of California.
