RESOLUTION N0, 4781
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
V OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING A SUBLEASE
,WHEREAS, the City has certain property on Central Avenue
just south of Newport Bay it is intending to develop as a parking
lot; and
WHEREAS, Lodge Building Corporation (The Elks Club) has
under lease a parcel of property lying between the City's property
and Via Oporto; and
WHEREAS,.a sublease has been presented to the City
Council under which the City would lease that parcel of land be
its land and Via Oporto for use in connection with the parking lot
from May 1, 1958, to April 30, 1983, for 12 of the revenue or
$10.00 per month, whichever is greater, plus the exclusive use of
the portion of the lot not on the street right of way for six days
per year; and
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed the terms of said sub-
lease and found them to be fair and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said sublease be
approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute
the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
This Resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 28th day of
April, 1958, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers,
Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT COUNCILMEN: None
