• 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
3 A GRANT DEED

5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach,
6 by Resolution No. 4885, has invited bids for the purchase of
7 surplus City property described therein; and
8 WHEREAS, bids were received on December 22, 1958, and
9 additional bids were received on January 12, 1959; and
10 WHEREAS, an auction was held and Minot E. Butler was the
11 high bidder on the following described property, and the City
12 Council ordered said property sold to him;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
14 Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant
15 deed on behalf of the City of Newport Beach granting the following
16 described real property to said high bidder or to the person desig-
17 nated by him in writing. The property is described:
18 The northwesterly 34.00 feet of the southeasterly
54,00 feet of the following described parcel:

Lot 7 and Lot 8, Block 54, River Section, as shown on
20 a map thereof recorded in Book 4, page 25 of Miscellane-
ous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, together
21 with that portion of Section 29, Township 6 South,
Range 10 West, S.B.B.& M., in the City of Newport Beach,
22 California, more particularly described as follows:
23 Beginning at the most westerly corner of said Lot 7,
Block 54; thence North 33® 311 30" East along a line
24 parallel with the southeasterly line of said Lots 7 and
8, 134.60 feet to the southerly line of Mean High Tide,
25 as per Superior Court Case Noe 23686, recorded in
Book 201, page 253 of Official Records of said Orange
26 County; thence South 66® 441 18" East along said
southerly line of Mean High Tide, 123.98 feet to the
27 northeasterly prolongation of the northwesterly line
of 54th Street, as shown on said map of River Section;
28 thence South 330 311 30" West along said northeasterly
• prolongation of the northwesterly line of 54th Street,
29 156.69 feet to the southerly corner of said Lot 7,
Block 54; thence North 560 281 30" West along the
30 southwesterly line of said Lot 7, 122.00 feet to the
point of beginning. Excepting therefrom the south-
31 westerly 30.00 feet thereof, being Neptune Avenue,
32 situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of

This resolution was adopted by the City Council of .the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 12th day of
January, 1959., by the following vote, to wit:

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and ,maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4911 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 12th day of January , 19592 by the following
vote, to wit:

Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
