RESOLUTION NO. 4922
A RF.SOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF N:-7JPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER MAIN IN IRVINE AVENUE
FROM MARINERS DRIVE TO 17TH STREET AND IN
MARIN1d4S DRIVE FROM DOVER DRIVE TO IRVINE AVENUE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
consisting of the construction of a water main in Irvine Avenue
from Mariners Drive to 17th Street and in Mariners Drive from Dover
Drive to Irvine Avenue in the City of Newport Beach in accordance
with the plans and specifications heretofore adopted, bids were
received on the 22nd day of January, 1959, and publicly opened and
declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
for such construction work is S. E. Pipe Line Construction Company;
NO1U, TH'i3HEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of S. E. Pipe
Line Construction Company in the amount of $11,630.00 be accepted
and that the contract for the construction work be awarded to said
S. E. Pipe Line Construction Company.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and.City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid, and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish an
executed copy to the successful bidder.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
(City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 26th day of
January, 1959, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hari,, Lorenz, Somers,
Kingsley, Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None

I, MARGERY SCHROUDER, City Clerk of the City of Newport
Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4922 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 26th day of January s 1959, by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers, Kingsley,
Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABbENNT, COUNCILMEN: None
