RESOLUTION NO. 4923
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH ACCEPTING A DEED
AND CONSENTING TO ITS BEING RECORDED
WHEREAS, the owners of Collins Island subdivided the
property as Tract No. 1723 and constructed a cement bridge leading
from Balboa Island to Collins Island; and
l<THEREAS, there is some doubt that the bridge, while
privately owned, would provide perpetual access from Tract No.
1723 to a public street; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interests of the
owners of said Tract No. 1723 to dedicate, convey and assign said
bridge to the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, it appears to be in the best interests of the
City of Newport Beach to accept said bridge in order to assure
residents of Collins Island access to a public street and to better
provide municipal services to the property on Collins Island con-
sisting of Tract No. 1723;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the deed of The
Pacific Estates, Inc., a California corporation, George McNamara
and Melba McNamara, executed on January 26, 1959, be accepted and
that the City Council hereby consents to its being recorded.
This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the 26th day of
January.., 1959, by the following vote, to wit:

Beach, California, do hereby certify that according to the records
of the City of Newport Beach filed and ;maintained in my office,
the foregoing Resolution No. 4923 was duly and
regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 26th day of January , 19 51 by the following
vote, to wit:
AYES, COUNCILMEN: Hart, Lorenz, Somers, Kingsley,
Atkinson, Higbie, Stoddard
NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
