NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING.A CONTRACT FOR THE CON -
. 3 STRUCTION OF A.TRAF'FIC SIGNAL SYSTEM AT THE
INTERSECTION OF.32ND- STREET AND NEWPORT BOULEVARD

5 WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
6 consisting of the construction ofa traffic signal system.at the
7 intersection of 32nd Street and Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach,
8 California, in accordance with the plans and specifications
9 heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 20th day of January,
10 1960, and publicly opened and declared; .and
11 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
12 for such construction work is Steiny and Mitchel, Inc.;
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of Steiny
14 and Mitchel, Inc., in the amount of $9,563.00 be accepted and that
15 the contract for the construction work be awarded to said Steiny
16 and Mitchel, Inc.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
18 hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
19 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
20 of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
21 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
22 This resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
23 City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting on the-25th day of
24 January, 1960, by the following vote, to wit: n
