5 G3F=AS, an election is.to be held in the City of
6 Newport Beach on April 12, 1960, at which there will be submitted
7 to the qualified electors of said city the following city measures

PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT NUMBER GNP': Shall the
9 Charter be amended to.add Section 1402 (a) to permit the City
Council to sell and convey that parcel of-City property fronting
10 on the Rivo Alto Canal consisting of Lot 4, Block 4134, Canal
Section, Newport Beach?

12 PROPOSED CHAiRTER AMENDMENT NUMBER TWO: Shall the
Charter be amended to add Section 1402 (b) to permit the City
13 Council to sell and convey that parcel of City property fronting
on Newport Bay lying easterly of Newport.Boulevard and southerly
14 of 26th Street, being a portion of Blocks 222 and 223, as shown
upon a map of Section "A°, Newport Beach, recorded in Book 4, page
15 21, of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California?
16 W%7, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
17 Beach, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as
18 follows:
19 Section 1. That this City Council, being the legislativ
20 body of the City of Newport Beach, hereby authorizes Charles E.
21 Hart, Hans J. Lorenz, Harvey Somers, Kenneth C. Kingsley, J. Frank
22 Atkinson, C. A. Higbie, and James B. Stoddard, members of said
23 body, to file wr -.tten arguments for the city measures set forth
24 in the recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3,
25 Division 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California and
2611 to change said arguments until and including the date fixed by the

City Clerk after which no arguments for or
against said city

measures
may be submitted to her.
