RESOLUTION NO. 5360
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING ,A CONTRACT FOR FURNISHING
AND DELIVERING ASBESTOS CEMENT WATER PIPE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for
furnishing and delivering asbestos cement water pipe in the City
of Newport Beach in accordance with specifications heretofore
adopted, bids were received on the 5th day of January, 1961, and
publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that The Republic Supply Company of
California submitted the low bid and it would be most advantageous
to award the contract to said bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of The
Republic Supply Company of California in the amount of $39,456 be
accepted and that the contract for furnishing and delivering 9600
feet of 12 -inch asbestos cement water pipe be awarded to said
bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance
with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish
an executed copy to the successful bidder.
