2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
3 GRANT OF EASEMENT

5 WHEREAS, Southern Counties Gas Company has requested an
6 easement for a gas pipeline in a portion of City property herein-
7 after described; and
8 WHEREAS, the easement may be granted without interfering
9 with the City's use of said property;
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
11 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute a grant of
12� easement conveying to the Southern Counties Gas Company an ease -
13 meet for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a gas pipeline
141 in, under, and through the following described real property in the
151 City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, to wi s
16 All of that portion of the abandoned channel 40 feet in
width lying between P1North Line" and "South Line" as said
17 lines are described in Superior.Court -Case No. 23686,
County of Orange, State of California, I I between the
18 easterly line of the State Highway R/�nT 80 feet in width
as described in Book 70, page 408, official records of
19 said County of Orange, and the northerly prolongation of
the westerly line of Lot 2, Block. 145, as shown upon a
20 map of Canal Section recorded in Miscellaneous Map Book
4, page 98, records of said County of Orange.
