RESOLUTION NO. 55.51
• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE MASTER LAND USE PLAN
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach has recommended amendments to the Master Land Use Plan of
the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a map entitled "Master
P1an,.City of Newport Beach, California, Land Use Plan ", dated
December 6, 1961; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after notice as required by
law, has held a hearing on said proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to amend such Master Land Use
Plan by adding a Planned, Community District classification; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to reclassify the area on the
easterly side of the Upper Bay between the Upper Bay and Jamboree
Road,bounded on the north by Bayside Drive and on the south by
Big Canyon, as a Planned Community District;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach does adopt said.amendments.to the
Master Land Use Plan as shown on the map attached hereto.
BE IT.FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are authorized and directed to sign said amended Master Land Use
Plan map to show that it:has been adopted by the City Council,
and that the same be placed on file with the Master Plan of the
City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 13th day ,f February 1962.

NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: Lorenz
