2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NM -TPORT BEACH AWARDING A ;CONTRACT FOR SEt3ER
3 REPLA= NT, 32ND STREET EAST FROM.NEtt3PORT
BOULEVA`3D AND IN BLOCK ll,EAST NEWPORT TRACT,
4 AND ALLEY PAVING SOUTH OF BALBOA BOULEVARD AND
5 WEST OF ALVARADO STREET
6 IMEREAS, pursuant to the Notice Inviting Bids for work
7 consisting of sewer replacement, 32nd Street east from Newport
8 Boulevard and in Block 11, East Newport Tract, and alley paving
9 south of Balboa Boulevard and west of klvarado Street, in the City
10 of Newport Beach, in accordance with the plans and specifications
11 heretofore adopted, bids were received on the 19th day of December,
12 1962, and publicly opened and declared; and
13 WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
14 therefor is JAMS 1. OAId, XI-MR;
15 NOW, MEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of ,banes 1.
16 Gallacher in the amount of $18,548.50 be accepted and that the
17 contract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
18 BE IT FURTIM RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk are
19 hereby authorized and directed to execrate a contract in accordance
20 with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City
21 of Newport Beach, and that the. City Clerk be directed to furnish
22 an executed copy to the successful bidder.
23 ADOPTED this 14th day of January, 1963.
