NLTWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS
3 TO FILE WRITTEN ARGUMENTS FOR CITY MEASURES

5 wImaS, an election is to be held in the City of Newport
6 Beach on April 14, 1964, at which there will be submitted to the
7 qualified electors of said city the following city measures:
8 PROPOSER CHARTER AMENDMENT NUMBER ONE: Shall Section
9 1005 of the Charter be amended to assure that no
Councilman will be disqualified from serving as Coun-
cilman from his district for the remainder of the
period of time for which he was elected or appointed
11 because of redistricting?
12 PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT NUMBER TGTO: Shall the Charter
be amended to add Section 1402 (c).to authorize the City
13 Council to sell and convey that parcel of City -owned real
property on the south side of Bay Avenue between 15th and
19th Streets described as follows, to wit: Lot 6, Block
14 213, as shown upon a map of Section 08B ", Newport Beach,
15 recorded in Miscellaneous Flaps, Book-4, page 27, Records
of Orange County, California, together with a portion of
16 Lot 4, Section 33, Township 6 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B, & M., bounded on the south by the northerly line
17 of said Lot 6, on the north by the easterly extension of
the northerly line of Lot 4 in said Block 213, on the
18 east by the northerly prolongation of the easterly line
of said Lot 6, and on the west by the easterly lines of
19.1 lots 3 and 4 of said Block 218?
20 NaT7 THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
21 Beach, California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE:, DETERMINE AND ORDER as
22 follows:
23 Section 1. That this City Council, being the legislative
24 body of the City of Newport Beach, hereby authorizes Charles E.
25 Hart, Hans J. Lorenz, games B. Stoddard, P. D. Cook, Donald E.
26 Elder, Doreen Marshall, and Paul J. Gruber, members of said body,
27 to file written arguments for the city measures set forth in the
28 recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division
29 4 of the Elections Code of the State of California of 1961, and to
30 change said arguments until and including the date fixed by the
31 City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said city
32
11 measures may be submitted to her.
2 ADOPTED this 10th day of February, 1964.
