2 A RESOLUTION OF TIM CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A
3 CONTRACT WITH SANTA ANA HEIGHTS I-ATER COMPANY

5 I , H S, the City of Newport Beach and the Santa Ana
6 Heights Water Company are parties to a contract dated the 12th day
7 of November, 1963, under which the City agreed to buy and the
8 said company agreed to call all of the assets of said company; and
9 WHEREAS, it appears to be in the interests of both the
10 City and said company to extend the closing date of said contract
11 pursuant to the provisions thereof; and
12 WHEREAS, a contract has been prepared between the City
13 and the Santa Ana Heights Water Company under which the closing
14 date under said agreement dated November 12, 1963, would be extender
15 to May 18, 1964; and
16 WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the provisions of
17 said contract and found the same to be fair and equitable;
18 NOBS, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
19 Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute said
20 contract on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
21 ADOPTED this 10th day of February, 1964.
