RESOLUTION N0. 6098
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
A BOUNDARY AGREEMENT,
5 WHEREAS, a boundary agreement has been prepared in which
6 the City of Newport Beach, Miriam Blaich, and the State of Califor-
47 nia, acting by and through the State Lands Commission, are parties;

9i IREAS, Section 6357 of the Public Resources Code author -
10I izes an agreement to establish the boundary line between tidelands
11 and submerged lands and adjoining uplands by such agreement; and
12 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach is the owner of tide=
13 lands, submerged lands and filled lands pursuant to California
14 Statutes of 1929, Chapter 813; and
15 t MEREAS, Miriam Blaich is the owner of adjoining uplands
16 consisting of the easterly 10 feet of Lot 8 and the westerly 35 feet)
17 of Lot 9 in Block 22 of the Eastside Addition to Balboa Tract, as
18 shown on a map recorded in Book 4, page 20, of Miscellaneous Maps,
19 records of Orange County, California; and
20 WHEREAS, it appears to be in the interest of the City of
21 Newport Beach, Miriam Blaich, and the State of California and in the
22 public interest to establish the boundary line between said tide-
23 lands and said uplands as 44A line parallel with and distant 202.42
24 feet southwesterly from the northeasterly line of Lots 8 and 9 in
25 Block 22, as shown on a map of Eastside Addition to Balboa Tract,
26 recorded in Miscellaneous Maps Book 4, page 20, records of Orange
27 County, California, and between the southwesterly prolongation of a
28 line parallel with and ten (10) feet northwesterly of the southeast -
29 erly line of said Lot 8 and the southwesterly prolongation of a line
30 parallel with and thirty -five (35) feet southeasterly of the south -
31 easterly line of said Lot 849; and
32 t S, said boundary agreement fixes said line;

N0W$ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement be and
is hereby approved by the City Council and the Mayor and City Clerk
be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on
behalf of the city.
