2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH. FINDING AND DECLARING WHETHER A
3 MAJORITY PROTEST HAS BEEN MADE BY THE PROPERTY
%,TNERS . AT THE HEARING ON THE ANNEXATION OF THE
4 'TERRITORY KNOWN AS- "ANN=ION NO. 56"

6 WHEREAS, proceedings have been initiated to annex to the
7 City certain territory designated as "Annexation No. 56 "; and
8 WHEREAS. the City Council adopted Resolution No. 6076
9 describing the boundaries thereof, designating the territory by a
10 name, and setting Monday, the 25th day of January, 1965, at 7;30
11 P, M, on said day, in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 3300
12 Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California, as the time and place
13 for the City Council to hear written protests against the annexation
14 by persons owning real property within said territory; and
15 WHEREAS, said resolution was published, posted, and dis-
16 tributed as required by law and said hearing was held in accordance
17 with the notice thereof and finally adjourned on January 25, 1965,
18 and the City Council heard and passed upon all protests so made;
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
20 hereby finds and declares that a majority protest was not made
21 against the annexation to the City of Newport Beach of the terri-
2211 tort' designated as "Annexation No. 56 ".
