1 RESOLUTION NO. 6282
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEtiPORT BEACH REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
3 OF THE.COUNTY OF ORANGE TO PERMIT THE COUNTY CLERK
OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO THE
4 CITY OF NE11FORT BEACH.RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A
GENER,L MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE I7LD IN SAID CITY
5 ON APRIL. 12, 1966
6 0 EREAS, a general municipal election is to be held in
7 the City of Newport Beach on April 12, 1966; and
8 S^nIMEAS, in the course of conduct of said election and
9 in relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots
10 and polling place inserts to the registered voters of the City,
11 and it will facilitate such mailing if the County Clerk of the
12 County of Orange will prepare and furnish the City the imprint -
13 ing of the names and addresses of the registered voters of said
14 City on Y.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by the City, and
15 after bursting the forms will insert the polling place insert
16 and sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by the
17 City; and
18 WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this ser-
19 vice shall be paid by the City of Newport Beach;
20 NOGG, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Newport
21 Beach does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:
22 SECTION 1. That pursuant to the provisions of Section
23 22003 of the Elections Code of the State of California, this
24 City Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said
25 County to permit the County Clerk to prepare and furnish to said
26 City, for use in conducting said election to be held on April 12,
27 1966, the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered
28 voters of said City on I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by
• 29 the City andafter bursting the forms to insert the polling place
30 insert and sample ballots into envelopes, all to be furnished by
31 the city.
32 SECTION 2. That Said city shall reimburse said County

for services performed when the work is completed and upon pre-
sentation to the City of a properly approved bill.
SECTION 3. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said
County Clerk each a certified copy of this resolution.
