THS aem <br />2/2 /67 (12) <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />Q <br />F <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6497 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NEWPORT BEACH FINDING.THAT CERTAIN CITY- OWNED - <br />WATER FRONT IS OT.SUITABLE FOR USE AS A PUBLIC <br />BEACH OR PARK <br />5 WHEREAS, the City holds title to the real property here - <br />6 inafter described; and <br />7 WHEREAS, said real property fronts on Newport Bay; and <br />8 WHEREAS, Section 37351 of the Government Code of the <br />9 State of California provides that the legislative body of a city <br />10 shall not sell or convey any portion of a water front, except to <br />11 the State for use as a public beach or park, unless by a four -fift <br />12 vote of its members the legislative body finds and determines that <br />13 the water front to be sold or conveyed is not suitable for use as <br />14 a public beach or park; and <br />15 WHEREAS$ it appears that said property is not suitable <br />16 for use as a public beach or park and it would be in the public <br />17 interest to sell said property; <br />18 NOw, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council <br />19 hereby finds that the hereinafter described real property is not <br />20 suitable for use as a public beach or park: <br />21 Those portions of Blocks 222 and 223 in Section A, Newport <br />22 Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page 21 of <br />Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, <br />23 and that portion of Lot 2 in Section 33, Township 6 South, <br />- Range 10 West, San Bernardino Meridian, according to the <br />Official Plat of said land filed in the District Land <br />24 Office, August 4, 1890, described as follows: <br />25 <br />Beginning at the most Westerly corner of Lot -1 in said <br />Block 223; thence North 70° 17' 30" East.along the <br />26 <br />Northwesterly line of said Lot 1 and the Northeasterly <br />prolongation thereof, 198.46 feet to a point on said <br />27 <br />prolongation, distant North 70° 17' 30B9 East 34.45 feet <br />from the most Northerly corner of said -Lot 1; thence <br />28 <br />South 20° 04' 27" East 48.19 feet to a point on the <br />Northeasterly prolongation of the Northwesterly line <br />29 <br />of Lot 1 in Tract No. 814, as shown on a Map recorded <br />in Book 24, pages 35 and 36 of Miscellaneous Maps, <br />30 <br />records of Orangge County, California, said point being <br />North 59° 48' 00" East along said prolongation, 9.33 <br />31 <br />feet from the most Northerly corner of said Lot 1 of <br />Tract No. 814; thence South 590 48' 00" West 202.14 <br />32 <br />feet to the most Westerly corner of said Lot 1 of Tract <br />
