r <br />211 �e _ <br />67 (12) <br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 6513 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING THAT WEEDS AND OTHER <br />PUBLIC NUISANCES EXIST UPON STREETS, ALLEYS, <br />SIDEWALKS, PARKWAYS, AND PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN <br />THE CITY DECLARING THAT SAID HEEDS AND PUBLIC - <br />NUISANCEA MUST BE ABATED, SETTING.-THE TIME AND <br />PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING AT WHICH, THE. CITY : <br />COUNCIL WILL CONSIDER PROTESTS FROM PERSONS OB- <br />JECTING TO.THE PROPOSED DESTRUCTION OR REL40VAL <br />OF SUCH PUBLIC NUISANCES-BY THE CITY, AND DI- <br />RECTING THE .FIRE CHIEF TO.GIVE NOTICE OF.THE <br />PASSAGE OF THIS RESOLUTION AND OF THE PUBLIC <br />FEARING <br />10 11HEREASs it has come to the attention of the City Council <br />11 that the following conditions exist upon streets, alleys, sidewalks, <br />12 parkways and private property within the City as shown, described <br />13 and delineated on the several maps of the properties in the City <br />14 which are recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the <br />15 County of Orange; <br />16 (a) deeds are growing which when mature bear wingy or <br />17 downy seeds, which will attain such a large growth as to <br />181 become a fire menace when dry, or which are otherwise <br />19 noxious or dangerous; <br />20 (b) Dry grass, stubble, brush, garden refuse, litter, <br />21 or other flammable material which constitutes a fire hazard <br />22 or which, when dry, will in reasonable probability constitute <br />23 a fire hazard; <br />24 (c) Poison oak and poison ivy which constitute a menace <br />251 to the public health; <br />26 (d) Rubbish, refuse and dirt upon parkways and side - <br />27 walks, and rubbish and refuse upon private property; <br />28 and <br />29 WHEREAS, in the judgment of the City Council said con - <br />30 ditions constitute a public nuisance and should be abated as such <br />31 pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 10.48 of the Newport Beach <br />38 (Municipal Code; <br />
