:mec <br />. .2/° {0/67 (12) <br />RESOLUTION N0. 6519 <br />P1 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />2 NEWPORT BEACH ASCERTAINING THE GENERAL PREVAILING <br />RATE OF PER DIMI WAGES TO BE.PAID UPON PUBLIC- <br />3 WORDS PROJECTS <br />4 WHEREAS, Section 1773, et seq., of the Labor Code of the <br />5 State of California requires the body awarding contracts for public <br />6 works to ascertain the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in <br />7 the locality where the work is to be performed for each craft, <br />8 classification, or type of workman needed to execute the contract; <br />9 and <br />1011 11HEREAS, it is convenient to declare said general pre- <br />ll wailing rate by resolution; <br />12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: <br />13 SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code <br />14 of the State of California, the City Council hereby does ascertain, <br />15 determine, and declare the general prevailing rate of per diem <br />16 wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work, <br />17 including the employer payments for health and welfare, pension, <br />18 vacation, and similar purposes, for each craft, classification, or <br />19I type of work needed in the execution of the contracts for public <br />20 work in the locality of the City of Newport Beach, to be as set <br />21 forth in the attached 1966 'k7age Scales for the Six Basic Trades" <br />22 and 1966 "Sub- Trades Hourly Wage Rates of Building and Construction <br />23 Trades Unions ", furnished by the Orange County Building and Con - <br />24 struction Trades Council, which attached schedules hereby are <br />2511 incorporated in and made a part of this resolution, to replace the <br />2611 rates heretofore adopted and established by Resolution No. 6258. <br />271 SECTION 2, The City Clerk is authorized and directed to <br />2811 certify to the adoption of this resolution and file a certified c <br />29 thereof with the Director of Industrial Relations of the State of <br />30 California, pursuant to Section 1773.3 of the Labor Code. <br />31 <br />ADOPTED this 27th day of <br />32 ATTEST:' <br />%v= y <br />
