RESOLUTION N0. 6525
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH ORDERING THE FIRE CHIEF.TO ABATE
REEDS AND OTHER PUBLIC NUISANCES MMISTING UPON
STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEWALKS, PARR4-7AYS AND PRIVATE
ERTY
PROP NITHIN THE CITY
WHEREAS, on February 14, 19672 the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach adopted Resolution No. 6513 entitled: 3DA
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T14E CITY OF 1077P0RT BEACH
DECLARING THAT WEEDS AND OTHER PUBLIC NUISANCES ENIST UPON
STREETS, ALLEYS, SIDEHALICS, PAMU,,TAYS, AND PRIVATE PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY, DEMI ARING T9AT SAID WEEDS AND PUBLIC NUISANCES BUST BE
ABATED, SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC DARING AT UHICH
THE CITY COUNCIL WILL CONSIDER PROTESTS FROM PERSONS OBJECTING TO
THE PROPOSED DESTRUCTION OR REMOVAL OF SUCH PUBLIC NUISANCES BY
THE CITY, AND DIRECTING THE FIRE CHIEF TO GITZ NOTICE OF THE
PASSAGE OF THIS RESOLUTION AND OF THE PUBLIC HEARING"., pursuant
to the authority contained in Chapter 10.48 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code; and
WIMIgEAS, the City Council has held a hearing to consider
all protests to the proposed destruction or removal of the deeds
and other public nuisances described in said Resolution No. 6513
and has taken final action as to all such protests in accordance
with Section 10.48.060 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code;
NOW 0
, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1. The Fire Chief is hereby directed to abate
such weeds and other nuisances as described in Resolution No.
6513, or cause the same to be abated, by having the same destroys
or removed.
SECTION 2. Any property o%%nier shall have the right to
destroy or remove such weeds and other nuisances himself, or head=
the same removed at his own expense, provided that such weeds a_=
other nuisances shall have been removed to the satisfaction of

Fire Chief prior to the arrival of the Fire Chief or his authorized)

duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 13th day of March , 1967,
