A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEEWMORT BEACH AMNDING SECTION 6 OF RESOLUTION
NO. 63752 AS MENDED BY RESOLUTIONS NOS...6474,
6496, AND 6524, 14HICH ESTABLISHED REGULATIONS
FOR THE OPER.ATICN.OF PARKING METERS
t3M&EAS, Chapter 12,44 of Title 12 of the Newport Beach
ixunicipal Code establishes on- street parking meter zones and sets
the fees for parking in such zones, provides that the City Council
may by resolution establish off - street_ parking meter zones and set
the fees for parking in such zones, and further provides that the
City Council shall by resolution designate the denomination of
coins to be deposited in ;larking meters, the parking time allowed.
following such deposit, and the hours of the day, the days of t'.e
week, and the weeks of the year during which deposits are rewired
and the meters will be in operation; and
Yr1HMU&S, off- street parking meter zones and regulations
for the operation of parking meters were established by Resolution
No. 6378, which was subsequently amended by Resolutions Nos. 6474,
64961 and 6524; and
Z^IEAu, regulations relating to the suspensions of
operation of parking meters during certain periods of the year
were established by Section 6 of Resolution No. 6378, which sect
was amended by Rtesolution No. 6524; and
I'.11 MAS, the City Council desires to make additional
revisions to the regulations relating to such suspension of opera-
tion of parking meters, which necessitates the further amendment
of said Section 6;
HOUP TH EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
SECTION 1, Section 6 of Resolution No. 6378, as amended.,
is further amended to read:
"Section 6. The City Council hereby determines that
the year- around operation of those parking meters described
in this section is not necessary for the regulation of

traffic and parking and such operation is hereby suspended
and such meters shall be inoperative each year for the
periods '.Hereinafter described. Such meters shall be in-
operative and the heads shall be removed and stored or
suitably marked and identified to indicate they are not
operative.
ATTEST:
Zone 6 All meters on 15th Street between Ocean
Front and Newport Bay, beginning October
15 and ending February 28, and between
February 28 and May 15 on days other than
Saturdays, Sundays and holidays and other
than the period beginning the day before
Palm Sunday and ending the day after Easter.
Zone 11 All meters beginning October 15 and ending
February 2A.
Zone 13 All meters beginning October 15 and ending
February 2d.
Zone 15 All meters, beginning October 15 and ending
February 28."
SECTION 2. Resolution No. 6524 is hereby repealer'.
