GRUNM ALD & ASSOCIATES FOR PLANNING SERVICES FOR AN ENGI- NEERING AND PLANNING STUDY CONCERNING THE RELOCA- TION OF THE PROPOSED NEWPORT FREEWAY TO AN ALIGN - BENT ALONG SUPERIOR AVENUE IRMEAS, the State has adopted a route for the proposed Newport Freeway located generally along the present alignment of Newport Boulevard; and WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the route of the proposed Newport Freeway should be relocated to an alignment along Superior Avenue; and 0MREAS, the City Council has determined that an ing and planning study of a Superior Avenue alignment is needed; and 1,MEREAS, proposals to prepare such a study have been made to the City by DeLeuw, Cather & Company, Consulting Engineers, and by Robert E. Grunewald and Associates, Planning Consultants, both of which firms are well qualified to prepare such a study; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 11 The City Attorney is directed to prepare an agree- ment between the City, DeLeuw, Cather and Company, and Robert E. Grunewald and Associates providing for the preparation of an engineering and planning study of the Superior Avenue freeway alignment based upon a maximum cost to the City of $10,000. 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of the City. ADOPTED this 27th day of March , 1967.
