2I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH ADOPTING AND SUBMITTING A BUDGET
3 FOR EXPENDITURE OF 'FUNDS AL_LOCATED.FROM THE STATE
HIGHWAY FUND TO CITIES

5 WHEREAS, a master agreement for the budgeting and
6 expenditure of funds allocated from the State highway fund to
7 cities has been entered into by the City of Newport Beach, here -
8 inafter referred to as the city, and the State Department of
9 Public Works, Division of Highways, hereinafter referred to as
10 the department; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Council has prepared a budget proposal
121 and project statement showing estimated expenditures of such funds
13 recommended to be made during the 1967 -1968 fiscal year; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said budget
15 proposal and project statement and is familiar with the contents
16 thereof;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
18 the City of Newport Beach that said budget proposal and project
19 statement dated May 22, 1967 be and are hereby adopted as the
20 budget of proposed expenditures of the gas tax allocation to
21 cities, said budget proposal and project statement be and the
22I same are hereby approved and the Public Works Director is directed
23 to sign the same on behalf of said City and submit said budget
241 proposal and project statement to the Department of Public Works,
251 State of California, in accordance with the provisions of Section
26 197 of the Streets and Highways Code.
27 APPROVED AND SUBMITTED this 22nd day of May, 1967.
