LTHEmEAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
consisting of the installation of traffic signals and street
lighting at the intersection of San Joaquin Hills Road with Santa
Rosa Drive and with MacArthur Boulevard in the City of Newport
Beach, in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted, bids were received on the 7th day of .Tune, 1967, and
publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is Paul Gardner Corporation;
NOWT THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the bid of ,raul
Gardner Corporation in the amount of $68,901 be accepted and that
the contract for the construction work be awarded to said bidder.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
are hereby authorized and directed to execute a contract in
accordance with the specifications, bid and this award on behalf
of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed
to furnish an executed copy to the successful bidder.
