A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NZWMT BEACH FINDINC.AND DECLARING THAT CERTAIN

PRIVATE ROADS O]PEN.FOR tPUELIC.USE IN THE NEWPORT
CENTER ARM—OF THE CITY SHALL BE SUBJECT TO THE

WHEREAS, there are certain private roads in Newport

Center which are connected with public streets in such a manner
8
that the public cannot determine that such roads are not public
9
streets; and

WHEREAS, Section 21107,5 of the California Vehicle Code

authorizes a city to enact a resolution making the traffic regular
12
Lions contained in the California-Vehicle Code applicable to
13
private roads within the city that are generally held open for use
14
of the public for purposes of vehicular travel and which connect
15
with public streets; and
16
GAS, the City Council has held a public hearing on
17
the question of whether the provisions of the Vehicle Code should
18
be made applicable to the hereinafter described private roads;
19
and
20
MMEAS, the owner of the property has consented to the
21
adoption of this resolution;

NOWO THEREFME BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
23
hereby finds, declares and orders as follows:

1. The following described private roads are generally

held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular travel
26
and are so connected with public streets and highways that the
27
public cannot determine that such roads are private:
28
(a) The private road opposite Newport
Center Drive;
29
(b) The private road opposite Santa Rosa

(c) The private road opposite Santa Cruz
Drive;

for a distance of 100 feet from Newport Center Drive Fast and
Newport Center Drive infest, respectively.
2. The provisions of the California Vehicle Code
shall be applicable to the aforesaid private roads.
ADOPTED this 13th day of 'February, 1968.

duly and regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of said City Council
held at the regular meeting place thereof, on the 13thday of February 1968,
