A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF.AN
AGREEMENT WITH LOCKHEED AIRCRAFT CORPORATION
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF JAMBOREE ROAD BETWEEN
PALISADES ROAD AND MAC ARTHUR BOULEVARD
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach an agreement in which the Lockheed
Aircraft Corporation agrees to convey by grant deed to the City
of Newport Beach an easement for street and highway purposes on
five parcels of land on Jamboree Road; and
WHEREAS, Lockheed Aircraft Corporation will construct
certain street and other public improvements in Jamboree Road
at such time as the property adjacent to Jamboree Road is
developed; and
WHEREAS, Lockheed Aircraft Corporation has granted a
right of entry to the City of Newport Beach to enter upon their
premises for purposes of constructing slope banks and drainage
facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City has egreed to construct Jamboree
Road between Palisades Road and MacArthur Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said agreement
and found the same to be fair and equitable and in accordance
with the provisions of the laws of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute the
same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
