A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A
Ak QUITCLAIM DEED RELEASING THE CITY'S INTEREST
1W IN A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT TO THE OWNER OF
RECORD OF LOT 7, TRACT NO. 802
WHEREAS, on February 6, 1969, the City Council was
requested by William Von Essen to take action to abandon a public
utility easement along the southeasterly side of Lot 7 of Tract
No. 802, a lot in the City of Newport Beach presently owned by
Mrs. William Von Essen, so that the area covered by the easement
could be utilized for the construction of a residence; and
WHEREAS, copies of certain documents and letters from
the Southern California Edison Company, the Pacific Telephone and
Telegraph Company, the Southern Counties Gas Company, Harbor
Island Community Association, and Security Title Insurance Company
have been submitted disclaiming any present or future need for
the said easement; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City has no
present or prospective need for the easement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and the
City Clerk be and are hereby authorized and directed to execute
a quitclaim deed releasing the City's interest in the said public
utility easement to the owner of record of Lot 7, Tract No. 802,
City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 24th day of February , 1969.
