RESOLUTION NO. 6037
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE PARKS, BEACHES AND
RECREATION ELEMENT OF THE MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and the City Council
have heretofore adopted a Master Plan which includes as a unit
thereof a Parks, Beaches and Recreation element, with revisions;
and
WHEREAS, studies by the Planning Commission reveal
that since the adoption of said Parks, Beaches and Recreation
element there have been changes in conditions which indicate that
said Master Plan should be amended; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Newport
Beach, after notice as required by law, has held a public hearing
on the proposed amendment and has recommended the adoption of
the amendment to the Parks, Beaches and Recreation element of
the Master Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after notice as required by
law, has held a public hearing on said proposed amendment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is
desirable to amend said Parks, Beaches and Recreation Element of
the Master Plan as recommended;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach does hereby adopt an amendment to the
Parks, Beaches and Recreation element of the Master Plan as
shown on a map entitled Exhibit "W, attached hereto, by
including thereon a plan for the location of a network of
bicycle trails.
ADOPTED this 24th day of February , 1969.
