A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH LIMITING THE PARKING OF
VEHICLES IN THE AREA OF THE NEWPORT HARBOR HIGH
SCHOOL
WHEREAS, Section 12.44.010 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that when authorized signs are in place
giving notice thereof, no person shall stop, stand, or park any
vehicle between the hours of 8 :00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. of any day
for a period of time longer than two hours upon such streets or
portions thereof as the City Council shall designate by reso-
lution; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to limit the parking of
vehicles as hereinafter provided;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the parking of
vehicles between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4 :00 p.m. on school
days be limited to two (2) hours on the following streets;
Westerly side of Irvine Avenue between 15th Street and Laurel
Place. Laurel Place between Irvine Avenue and westerly terminus
of Laurel Place. Holly Lane between Irvine Avenue and a point
630 feet west of Irvine Avenue. Margaret Drive between Irvine
Avenue and a point 630 feet west of Irvine Avenue. Southerly
side of 15th Street between St. Andrews and Clay Street. St.
Andrews Road between Haven Place and 15th Street.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Traffic Engineer

is authorized and directed to appropriately sign or mark said
area to indicate parking limitations.
ADOPTED this 9th day of February, 1970.
