A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING.THE'ANNEXAT.ION TO THE
CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED.TERRIT.ORY CONTIGUOUS
TO THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, KNOWN.AS ANNEXATION
NO. 75 - HARBOR VIEW HILLS, PHASE IV
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company, a.West.Virginia Corporation,
as the sole owner of certain uninhabited territory contiguous to
the City of Newport Beach initiated proceedings..wi.th -the Local
Agency Formation Commission of Orange County.to ... annex said territory
to the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, on Febriiary 10, 1971, the Local.Agency Formation
Commission approved the annexation request-of-The Irvine Company
and authorized the City of Newport Beach.to proceed with the
annexation of said territory without notice and..hearing;..and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the...City.of Newport Beach
hereby elects to proceed with said annexation proceedings without
public notice or public hearings in accordance with the provisions
of Section 54797.1 of the California Government.Code; and
WHEREAS, The Irvine Company as-owners of more than
two- thirds of the value of the land in the..ter.ritory to be .annexed
have filed written consent with the City_Clerk..stating that said
territory may be subjected to taxation after annexation equally
with other property in the City of Ncwport.B.each to pay any
indebtedness and liabilities of the City.out.standing.,. contracted,
authorized or existing prior to or at the.time..of.said.annexation;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby resolves as
follows:
1. The annexation to the City of Newport Beach,
California, of that certain uninhabited territory contiguous to
said City, known as Annexation No. 75, Harbor View Hills, Phase IV,
is hereby approved. Said property is more particularly described

That portion of Block 97, Irvine's.Subdivision,_in the

Beginning at the Southwest.one- .quarter corner of said
Block 97, said corner -being in..the boundary of the City
of Newport Beach as +established by Annexation No. 57

of said Block and boundary ,to- a- point..on -.a non- tangent
curve concave Northerly having.:.- a..radius.of 1940.00 feet,

2. The property in the aforesaid.. Annexat ion No. 75,
Harbor View Hills, Phase IV, shall be subjected to taxation after
annexation equally with property within the City of Newport Beach
to pay any indebtedness and liabilities of the City of Newport
Beach outstanding, contracted, authorized, or existing .prior
to or at the time of annexation.
3. The boundaries of the City of Newport Beach,
California, are hereby altered to include the territory described
herein and said territory is hereby incorporated in said City.
4. The City Clerk is hereby directed to file a
certified copy of this Resolution with the Secretary of State.
