A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF
AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH
AND RICHARDS, WATSON AND HEMMERLING, FOR LEGAL
SERVICE IN CONNECTION WITH OIL LITIGATION
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement between the
City of Newport Beach and the law firm of Richards, Watson and
Hemmerling for legal services in connection with prosecution of
complaint for declaratory relief filed by the City in Orange
County Superior Court, Case No. 176555; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms
and conditions of said agreement and found them to be fair and
equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said agreement
for the legal services above described is approved, and the
Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to
execute the same on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 8th day of March 1971.
