• A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
WIDENING OF 32ND STREET FROM NEWPORT BOULEVARD
TO BALBOA BOULEVARD, TO E. L. WHITE COMPANY,
INC., CONTRACT NO. 1152
WHEREAS, pursuant to the notice inviting bids for work
in connection with the widening of 32nd Street, from Newport
Boulevard to Balboa Boulevard, in accordance with the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted, bids were received on the
15th day of March, 1971, and publicly opened and declared; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the lowest responsible bidder
therefor is E. L. WHITE COMPANY, INC.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the bid of E. L. WHITE COMPANY,
INC., for the work in the amount of $128,365.04 be accepted, and
that the contract for the described work be awarded to said
bidder;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach that the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute a contract in accordance with
the specifications, bid and this award on behalf of the City of
Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk be directed to furnish an
executed copy to the successful bidder.
ADOPTED this 22nd day of March, 1971.
