HomeMy WebLinkAbout7394 - Pacific View Drive Ingress & Egress EasementRESOLUTION NO. 7 3 9 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY • OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE IRVINE COMPANY FOR PACIFIC VIEW DRIVE INGRESS AND EGRESS EASEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has been requested to execute a quitclaim deed for the Pacific View Drive ingress and egress easement at Resubdivision No. 284 (Harbor View Hills Shopping Center and Apartments); and WHEREAS, The Irvine Company has recently dedicated portions of new MacArthur Boulevard and Pacific View Drive, eliminating the need for the ingress and egress easement formerly granted; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the City has no present or prospective need for the said access easement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach be and are hereby authorized deed releasing to The Irvine have in the existing ingress No. 284 (Harbor View Hills S] legally described as: that the Mayor and the City Clerk and directed to execute a quitclaim Company any interest the City may and egress easement at Resubdivision copping Center and Apartments), That property in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described as: PARCEL 1 A strip of land, 60.00 feet in width, in Block 93 of Irvine's Subdivision as per map filed in Book 1, Page 88 of Miscellaneous Record Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County, the Northerly line of said strip being described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Northerly right • of way line of Pacific View Drive, a private road 60.00 feet wide, with the Northwesterly line of that certain Metropolitan Water District easement, 20.00 feet wide, described in Book 2402, Page 469 of Official Records, as said intersection is shown on the map filed in Book 63, Page 45 of Record of Surveys, the -1- • • bearing of said Northerly right of way line being shown on said map as South 71 °04 °01" East; thence North 71 °0115611 West 415.34 feet along said right of way line to the beginning of a curve concave North- easterly having a radius of 470.00 feet; thence North- westerly 190.31 feet along said curve being also said right of way line through an angle of 23 012$00" to the Northwesterly line of that certain 13.020 acre parcel of land shown on said map filed in Book 63, Page 45 of Record of Surveys. The Southerly line of said strip of land to be shortened so as to terminate Easterly on said Northwesterly line of said Metropolitan Water District easement. PARCEL 2 A strip of land, 40.00 feet in width, in Block 93 of Irvine's Subdivision as per map filed in Book 1, page 88 of Miscellaneous Record Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County, the center line of said strip being described as follows: Beginning at the most Westerly corner of that certain 13.020 acre parcel of land shown on the map filed in Book 63, page 45 of Record of Surveys; thence at right angles to the Northwesterly line of said parcel North 47 °491156" West 190.53 feet to the beginning of a curve concave Southerly having a radius of 75.00 feet; thence Westerly 89.16 feet along said curve through an angle of 68 °0633711 to the beginning of a reverse curve con- cave Northerly having a radius of 1000.00 feet, a radial to said point of reverse curvature bears South 25 °56133" East; thence Westerly 111.24 feet along said curve through an angle of 6 °22126 "; thence South 70 °25353" West 260.00 feet.
