A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH APPROVING THE PROPOSAL..
ENTITLED "TOPICS PLAN AND STUDY REPORT PROSPECTUS
• REQUEST FOR FEDERAL FUNDS" PREPARED BY VTN ORANGE
COUNTY.. ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS, FOR THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH.. AND APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF A
CONSULTANT'S AGREEMENT WITH VTN ORANGE COUNTY FOR
AN AREA -WIDE TOPICS PLAN
WHEREAS, VTN Orange County, engineering consultants,
has submitted a proposal entitled "TOPICS PLAN AND STUDY REPORT
PROSPECTUS REQUEST FOR FEDERAL FUNDS "; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said proposal
and has determined that it wishes to proceed with the TOPICS
Study, provided that the study is approved by the State Department
of Public Works and the Federal Highway Administration, and
further provided that federal matching funds are made available;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the proposal entitled "TOPICS PLAN
AND STUDY REPORT PROSPECTUS REQUEST FOR FEDERAL FUNDS ", prepared
by VTN Orange County, engineering consultants, is hereby approved
and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute the
contract authorizing said study, subject to the prior approval of
the proposal by the State Department of Public Works and Federal
Highway Administration; and further provided that a commitment
is made that federal matching funds will be available to finance
the study.
ADOPTED this 17th day of May, 1971.
