RESOLUTION NO. 7 4 3 1
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING THE MILEAGE RATES
FOR AMBULANCE SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY, AS
ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTION NO. 7091
WHEREAS, a request for an increase in the mileage rate
charged for ambulance service has been received from the two
ambulance services presently operating within the City of Newport
Beach; and
WHEREAS, Section 5.14.150 of the Newport Beach Municipal
Code provides that the City Council may, on its own motion, hold
a hearing at any time for the purpose of determining whether
previously approved ambulance rate schedules should be changed;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing
after giving notice thereof in accordance with the requirements
of said Section 5.14.150 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code, and
has considered the testimony of all interested parties and all
relevant evidence presented at said public hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the following change in the
uniform ambulance rates schedules established by Resolution
No. 7091 adopted on October 25, 1969, is hereby authorized:
MILEAGE RATE
Each mile or fraction thereof.......... $1.50
ADOPTED this 24th day of May, 1971.
