RESOLUTION NO. 7 4 3 9
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS
WITHIN THE CITY AS BOAT LAUNCHING AREAS AND
RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 6283
WHEREAS, Section 17.16.020 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code provides that no person shall launch or remove
any vessel from the waters of Newport'Harbor over any public
seawall, sidewalk, street end, or public property, except at
locations where a regular business of launching and hauling
vessels is conducted which has the necessary equipment to do
such work or in areas designated and posted.for such purposes
by the City; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 6283 adopted on January
24, 1966, the City Council designated the ends of 15th and
26th streets where the same abut Newport Harbor as public boat
launching areas subject to certain restrictions on their use;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has now determined that
the regulations concerning boat launching should be revised
in order to allow an expanded use of street ends for the purpose
of launching small boats;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach as follows:
SECTION 1. That the following street ends are hereby
designated as public boat launching areas:
On Balboa Peninsula:
B Street
C Street
D Street
E Street
F Street
G Street
H Street
I Street
J Street
K Street
Alvarado Place
Coronado Street
Cypress Street
Fernando Street

Lindo Avenue
11th Street
12th Street
13th Street
14th Street
15th Street
18th Street
Z
On Balboa Island. north:
Balboa Avenue
Onyx.Avenue
Agate Avenue
Apolena Avenue
Coral Avenue
On Balboa Island, south:
Garnet Avenue
Pearl Avenue
Marine Avenue
Topaz Avenue
Collins Avenue
Ruby Avenue
Diamond Avenue
Sapphire-Avenue
Apolena Avenue
Amethyst. Avenue
Garnet-Avenue

SECTION 2. That the regulations prescribed in Sections
17.16.020 and 17.16.021 of the Newport Beach Municipal Code shall
be applicable to the uses of said street ends.
SECTION 3. Resolution No. 6283 is hereby rescinded.
