RESOLUTION NO. 7477
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AMENDING STREET END BOAT
LAUNCHING HOURS AT 15TH STREET AND FERNANDO
STREET LOCATIONS
WHEREAS, Section 17.16.020 of the Newport Beach
Municipal Code sets forth the regulations on boat launching and
hauling in the City of Newport Beach, and provides that boat
launching locations may be used only between the hours of
8:00 a.m. and 8 :00 p.m., unless otherwise specified by resolution
of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7439 adopted May 24, 1971,
the City Council established certain street end boat launching
locations, which locations are subject to the restriction of
8 :00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the hours of
7:00 a.m. to 10 :00 p.m. observed in the past at the 15th Street
and Fernando Street boat launching locations have been satisfactory,
and it would be in the public interest to continue to use this
time period for boat launching at the 15th Street and Fernando
Street ends only;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach that the boat launching hours at the
following street ends be and are hereby established to allow
boat launching from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.:
15th Street
Fernando Street
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that boat launching hours at
all remaining street ends listed in Section 1 of Resolution 7439
