A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF NEWPORT BEACH AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION
OF A LETTER AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH AND THE LAW FIRM OF O'MELVENY
& MYERS FOR LEGAL SERVICES AS BOND COUNSEL
FOR THE CIVIC CENTER BOND ELECTION
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach a letter agreement from the law
firm of O'MELVENY & MYERS regarding said firm acting as bond
counsel to render legal services in connection with the
authorization and issuance of general obligation bonds for the
Civic Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the terms
and conditions of said letter agreement and found them to be
fair and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the employment
of the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers for the legal services
above described is approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized
and directed to execute said letter agreement on behalf of the
City of Newport Beach.
ADOPTED this 26th day of July, 1971.
