RESOLUTION NO. 7573
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DESIGNATING THE
NEWPORT BEACH CITIZENS SOLID WASTE
STEERING COMMITTEE AS THE POLICY AND
OPERATING BODY OF NEWPORT BEACH ENVIRON-
MENTAL QUALITY CONTROL COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the City Council of Newport Beach recognizes
the importance of ecological balance; and
WHEREAS, said Council recognizes the need for every
citizen to become personally involved in remedying environ-
mental problems; and
WHEREAS, a Council Environmental Quality Control
Committee has been organized to deal with such environmental
matters; and
WHEREAS, the recycling of usable resources decreases
the magnitude of the solid waste disposal problem and is a
positive means of achieving a healthier, cleaner and more
aesthetically pleasing City;
NOWT THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Newport Beach hereby designates the Newport Beach
Solid Waste Subcommittee as the policy and operating body of the
Newport Beach City Council Environmental Quality Control Com-
mittee and recognizes said body as a subcommittee of that
Committee
